Hemp Hearts (raw, shelled hemp seeds) are an incredible source of essential amino acids as well as the perfect balance of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids that our bodies need for everything from brain function to immune function and anti-inflammation.
What to do with these little things? Sprinkle them on everything… salads, yogurt, cereal, toast, ice cream, oatmeal, soup, baked goods, smoothies and more!! I have about a tablespoon daily with my breakfast to keep my protein intake up. As a mostly vegetarian I need a good source for protein and the hemp really helps.
It's hard to get my kids to eat salad or even cut veggies, but now that we have the Queen's Zesty Caesar dressing, they ASK for salad and veggie sticks! Pretty sure they could also just drink this amazing superfood dressing! Love it!
